GreenBox (operated by Shorai Tech Private Limited)

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is issued by Shorai Tech Private Limited, operating under the brand name "GreenBox" ("GreenBox," "we," "us," or "our"). It describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with the GreenBox WhatsApp community, waitlist, website, and (upon launch) in-app ordering service (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you ("User," "you") agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to any individual who joins the GreenBox WhatsApp community, submits the GreenBox waitlist form, or (once available) registers for or uses the GreenBox mobile application or ordering platform.

2. Information We Collect

At the current pre-launch stage, GreenBox collects:

(a) Name, where voluntarily provided through the waitlist form or WhatsApp community;

(b) Phone number, collected upon joining the WhatsApp community or submitting the waitlist form; and

(c) Any additional information voluntarily shared with GreenBox, including through direct correspondence.

Upon launch of in-app ordering, GreenBox will additionally collect information necessary to process orders, which may include delivery or pickup address, order history, and payment-related information (processed by GreenBox's third-party payment processor and not directly stored by GreenBox). The complete list of data fields collected at launch will be confirmed prior to the release of in-app ordering.

3. Use of Information

GreenBox uses collected information to:

(a) provide updates regarding GreenBox's launch, restaurant partners, and offers;

(b) respond to user inquiries;

(c) upon launch, process reservations and orders and coordinate pickup or delivery; and

(d) evaluate and improve the Service, including understanding demand across service areas.

GreenBox does not sell personal information to third parties.

4. WhatsApp Community

The GreenBox WhatsApp community operates as a standard WhatsApp Group. As a result, a User's phone number is visible to other members of the group. Users concerned about number visibility should review WhatsApp's own privacy and group settings.

5. Disclosure of Information

GreenBox may disclose information to:

(a) Restaurant Partners, limited to information necessary to fulfil an order (e.g., name and order details), upon launch of in-app ordering;

(b) Delivery personnel or partners, limited to information necessary to complete delivery;

(c) Service providers who support GreenBox's operations, including its payment processor (Cashfree, subject to confirmation prior to publication), messaging platform providers (WhatsApp), and hosting or analytics providers; and

(d) Regulatory or legal authorities, where required by applicable law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of GreenBox, its users, or the public.

GreenBox does not disclose personal information to Restaurant Partners or third parties for their independent marketing purposes without the User's consent.

6. Data Retention

GreenBox retains personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, or until a User requests deletion, whichever occurs first. A defined maximum retention period for inactive records will be confirmed and added to this Policy prior to publication.

7. User Rights

Users may:

(a) request confirmation of what personal information GreenBox holds about them;

(b) request correction of inaccurate information; and

(c) request deletion of their information, including removal from the WhatsApp community or waitlist.

Requests may be directed to hello@getgreenbox.in. GreenBox's target response timeframe will be confirmed and added to this Policy prior to publication.

8. Security

GreenBox takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and GreenBox cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. GreenBox does not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Amendments

GreenBox may revise this Policy from time to time, including as the Service transitions from pre-launch to full in-app ordering. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
